Turbine protection system
The Turbine Protection System (TPS) is designed to protect the turbine and is a high-quality and highly reliable system that ensures the safe operation of the turbo unit. It is certified at Safety Integrity Level SIL3 according to the ČSN EN 61508 standards. It features a three-channel design with triple inputs and outputs. Simple actuators are connected via modules with a 2-out-of-3 voting logic.
The turbine protection system, as part of the secondary technology supplied by ZAT a.s., ensures the reliable and safe operation of turbines of various types and capacities.
Turbine protection system for nuclear power plants
Safety functions in Category B according to ČSN EN 61226. The system is implemented on the SandRA Z100 platform and is communicatively connected with the Unit Control and Information System (UCIS).
Turbine protection system for thermal power plants
The system uses SandRA Z200 technical means and is certified at Safety Integrity Level SIL3 according to the ČSN EN 61508 standard.
Main tasks of the turbine protection system:
- Reading, filtering, and verification of process data
- Binary logical control – protection algorithms
- Evaluation of the first received alarm
- Communication with the visualization system
- Data exchange with other systems and the supervisory control system
