Turbine control and regulation

The TCS is used for the control and regulation of the steam turbine. It is a high-quality and highly reliable system, divided into two subsystems.

The first subsystem for regulation is implemented in a dual-channel configuration with split inputs. The regulation system operates in a Master-Slave mode. Both channels have their own input/output converters. The valve control outputs from each channel are connected to separate actuators (converters), with both channels’ outputs remaining continuously active. Speed measurement is performed using three-channel hardware inputs.

The second subsystem for control is also implemented in a dual-channel configuration with split inputs and duplicated outputs for actuator control. The control system operates in a 1-out-of-2 mode with hardware signal summation at the actuator.

Operation and communication are provided via operator station panels. The system performs Category C safety functions according to ČSN EN 61226 and is implemented on the SandRA platform using HMI and Z200 hardware components. It is also communication-connected to the Unit Control and Information System (UCIS).

The steam turbine control and regulation system within the secondary side technology of the power plant, supplied by ZAT a.s., ensures reliable and safe control and regulation of steam turbines of various types and capacities.
